Elevator Lobby

September 13th, 2011

Something a bit different here. I went up to the top floor of the parking garage to see if there was anything interesting to photograph and found nothing. While waiting for the elevator on the way back down, I snapped this just for the heck of it. I like the grungy/futuristic look of the lobby here. I have always like shooting parking garages. It is funny when someone sees you photographing one as well. They give you a really funny look like, “what the hell could he POSSIBLY be taking a picture of?” When I apply the final HDR touches and show people, they go, “wow, that looks great! I would have never thought of photographing that!” And that’s why I shoot parking garages.

Love this shot! Get the same reactions when I’ve gone shooting garages – actually been asked to leave one and have been told I’m not allowed to photograph on “private” property when I contact the owners… Funny how people get when tripods and cameras come out… Been busy with life so my free time has decreased… Still going to try to post periodically but not as often as I’d like… Good to hear from you..
