Autumn Sunset In Pittsburgh

November 30th, 2011

On my recent photo walk in downtown Pittsburgh, I told myself I wasn’t going to stop at this location. I have gotten PLENTY of photos from here in the past. When I looked up at the sun setting, I starting sprinting over the bridge to capture it. I said to myself, “I can’t come down here and not get a photo at this location.” I am really glad I came over here. It ended up being an awesome sunset and worth this shot alone. The bridge to the right is the iconic Roberto Clemente Bridge, lit up for dusk.

    Brad,

I really like this picture. I know you shoot this location a lot but it never disappoints. I think it would be good to have a subject on that bench in a future shot.

Thanks Ray! I will have to try that next time for a different take on it!

i think this shot is perfection … the empty bench leaves room for me to be sitting in it!! ;-)

These are all such beautifully situated photographs. Do you do solely HDR (still learning what all of this means) or do you have some raw, untouched photographs, too? It would be interesting to see the juxtaposition between the two and I think your talent lends itself to raw photography, too. I’ll keep checking in to see if you have taken the leap! Thanks for the “Travelogue”.

Thanks for all of the great feedback!

Karen-glad you like my HDR work! I do some work that has been “untouched.” If you’d like to see it, I have a gallery of those images on the sidebar titled “Selected Work.”

    Thanks!

I had a look at those photographs in “selected work” and they’re just stunning. Such clarity and great angles. Great job! I’ll be back to sneak a peak at more of your work during long, boring work hours when I need an escape!
